Before Care

  • No caffeine(coffee, soda, tea, etc.) aspirin or alcohol for 48 HOURS before your appointment. This will cause excessive bleeding and make it hard for me to work which will result to rescheduling your appointment

  • Do not take fish oil, vitamin E, or Ibuprofen 24 hours before treatment

  • Waxing treatments should not be performed 5 days prior to your procedure

  • No filler injected in lips within the past 30 days

  • No chemical peels, microdermabrasion, mesotherapy, micro needling, or any other intense treatment that will cause skin cells to rejuvenate faster. This will effect the healing process and the outcome

  • DO NOT discontinue any medication with out consulting your doctor

  • If you have history of Herpes outbreak (cold sore) take anti cold sore medication starting 2 days before lip procedure. No lip blush can be performed on active cold sore!

Lip blushing may cause a flare-up of cold sores/fever blisters, especially in those who have had them in the past. If you're prone to cold sores, start taking your antiviral medication or applying a topical cream if you feel or see it’s coming out on your lips.
Cold sores can affect healed results — the pigment will likely not retain in the area where the cold sore appears.

Lip Blush (lighter lips)

If you have lighter lips, here's what you need to know about your treatment plan:

  • Sessions needed: 1–2

  • Waiting time between sessions: 6–8 weeks

  • Return for refresh: Every 1–3 years to keep the color fresh

Healing Info -

  • For the first 2–3 days, lips may appear darker and more intense than your final result. This is completely normal and temporary.

  • Around days 4–7, lips will begin to peel and the color will start to fade. You may notice the color looks like it has almost disappeared — this is called the ghosting phase and is completely normal.

  • Between weeks 2–4, the color will slowly begin to resurface as the pigment settles beneath the skin.

  • Your final healed color will be fully visible at the 4–6 week mark, just in time for your touch-up appointment.

Lip neutralization (darker lips)

If you have naturally dark lips, your treatment plan is different from a standard lip blush procedure.
Here’s what you need to know:

  • Sessions needed: 2–4

  • Waiting time between sessions: 2-3 months

  • Return for refresh: Every 1–3 years to keep the color bright

Healing info -

  • For the first 2–3 weeks, lips may appear darker due to irritation and how pigment settles initially. This is normal and temporary.

  • Around week 4, the color will begin to surface as the initial darkness fades. The color may appear patchy or uneven during this stage.

  • Between weeks 6–12, the color will continue to brighten.

  • You may not see full saturation until 4–6 months post-procedure.
